  I like my doctor that I see at this facility but the nurses always seem to never know what's going on. I've complained about one nurse specifically and she still continues to make the same mistake every time I go. Other than that, it's a top notch facility

  I have been seeing Dr Emmanuele in endocrinology for 6 years and she has made such a difference in my life . She is an amazing type 1 diabetes specialist and has helped me get my blood sugar under control, especially when so many other specialists were unable to. Her kind attitude , uplifting spirit and proactive approach, along with her expertise is what really sets her apart from any other Dr I have seen. She partnered with one of Loyola's nutritionists- Sara Mabin RN, (who has also been extremely helpful and accommodating) and together they assisted with finding the perfect insulin pump for me and in training me to learn how different factors affect my blood sugar on a daily basis. They are also excellent about getting back to you when you call with a medical necessity or concern .I highly recommended these health care professionals, they have made a profound difference in my daily battle with T1D & hypothyroidism.

  I called to make an appointment for a mammogram and I was transferred where I waited 12+ minutes. I called back and asked if I should expect to be on hold that long or had I been transferred somewhere else in error. Without answering my question, I was just transferred again. This time it was about 3 minutes and I was starting to get irritated because the switchboard operator had not answered by question and would I hold an hour, 20 minutes, what?? So I called back and asked the switchboard operator if I could talk to a supervisor in scheduling. I held for about 3 minutes and said she could only get voicemail and there was no one for me to talk to. I told her I would just call Silver Cross and make an appt. and she couldn't have been happier to not have to bother to find someone. I still don't know if holding 12+ minutes is what I should expect from Loyola. Maybe an hour is standard?? She never answered that question. I have had 3 mammograms at Loyola in the past, but it's just not worth it. I'll find a new Dr. too.

  I love my doctor here! As someone with "White Coat Syndrome," they always make me feel at ease and are there to answer the hundreds of questions I have. The staff in both primary care as well as the walk-in clinic are generally friendly. The only time I've encountered longer waits was with the walk-in clinic, but that's to be expected especially at peak hours. I've called and left messages about refilling prescriptions and getting them sent to new pharmacies, and have received a call back quickly afterwards. Overall, it's a great, well-run facility with awesome doctors.
